Lose Weight Diets – Without Losing the Joy of Eating

Most people would not mind shedding a few pounds so it us very likely that this also applies to you. Some are constantly looking for lose weight diets as they either never are successful with their weight loss attempts or simply keep looking for the next best thing as more and more diet plans become marketed to the public.

Perhaps the reason most people fail to achieve their weight loss goals is because with many diets the foods that are recommended are not those which you normally eat and sometimes are actually foods that you dislike. How on earth can you be expected to stick with a diet like this? It is ingrained in humans to run from pain and seek out pleasure so this plan is already set up to fail.

Then there are those diets that restrict your caloric intake so much that you constantly feel hungry which leads you to wolf down any food the diet allows. Again the pain, pleasure principle applies here. Many who try these types of programs end up cheating by over compensating with a splurging on calories.

So how then can you diet without losing the joy of eating? A lot of it has to do with your mindset and how you see your body. You need to be able to visualize your body looking as you want it to look after losing the weight. This is a first step.

Here are some other tips for you.

  1. Reduce your portion sizes – this step alone can allow you to continue enjoying the foods you love and give your body a chance to drop some pounds.

  2. Drink more water – water does many great things for our bodies other than hydrating us such as helps your body to remove toxins as well as can make you feel fuller so drinking a glass of water before each meal can actually make you want to eat less.

  3. Exercise – even a simple step as taking the stairs instead of an elevator or parking further than you need to can boost your metabolism which can help you to lose weight.

  4. Cut out junk & processed foods – if you primarily eat this type of food then there is no getting around it, you will have to make some changes. These foods not only are not very nutritious but they also do damage to your body and can cause major health problems later on. I am, however, a true believer that most things in moderation are okay so, if you must, keep these types of foods to an occasional, rather than regular, part of your diet.

If you are someone who needs more structure than just those tips I have given you here then you will want to check out lose weight diets that guide you through what you need to do in order to lose the weight so get started today and start feeling better about yourself.

  7. Rilamin67 says:

There are several methods I’m sure. Perhaps some supplements work, most don’t, clinics, trainers, exercise.. blah blah… As someone who has lost weight and kept it off… EAT RIGHT, DRINK WATER CONSTANTLY, GET REST, EXERCISE MORE!!! The inches will fall off, if not, then #1 your eating wrong. Sugars, fats, candy and ice Cream.. FAIL!!!

It’s one thing to live healthy, and another thing to look good. It’s more complicated than that. Even tho he’s right about SOME of the things, he still doesn’t know what the hell is he talking about. Go ask few questions in a bodybuilding forum about metabolism and muscle recovery – you are going to get ROFL’d, cause it’s something that you have to know as a child knows his name.

The Paleo diet is the ONLY diet. My allergies have all but vanished, my health improved, my energy increased, it even brought my hypoglycemia under control. Oh, and during the first year of eating strictly Paleo, I lost 60 pounds. . . without exercising. No effort, my body shed the pounds and one year later I have kept them off.

i have no money that i can use on lkosing weight but i need to lose weight and i have about 7 weeks and im desperate someone help

  11. Athanakin says:

@lookingtotomorrow buy 1.5 litre-bottles of water. Drink at least one daily. Start any dynamic sport you like ( tennis, soccer, basketball etc) and combine it with working out in a gym. e.g. Also stop eating junk food, but eat any normal food you enjoy, just in smaller portions. Start ENJOYING those changes as your new way of life. Live it in the now or else its pointless.

Take it as your way of life, not just some means to an end. :)
