Lose Weight Diet ! No Fun!

Times are rough! Okay, maybe that’s a bit over-dramatic. Times are rough for some people, and not so much for others. I suppose overall we currently reside in a pretty wonderful world. However, those who’re constantly struggling with their weight may not see things the same way. In fact, many of these individuals are down-right depressed. Maybe they have difficulty sticking to a diet, or they simply love food a little too much. Well, the cold, harsh truth is that a REAL lose weight diet consists of routine and will power. You have to adopt proper eating habits and conform to a strict exercise regimen. This is the best route to take if you truly want results. You must stick to the program!
When people mention the phrase “lose weight diet,” what comes to mind? I generally picture low-fat, low-sugar, low-sodium foods with plenty of nutrients, along with a consistent workout program. And let’s not forget plenty of water and rest. These are the bare essentials folks. These are the key ingredients for any effective lose weight diet. You must change your eating habits and stay strong. I always hear people say “But what if I work out four days a week and just keep eating like I do?” Hmm, this is unlikely to be effective for someone overweight. You must also change your poor eating habits in order to shed pounds of fat. You may not gain any additional weight since you’re working out routinely, but you may not lose anything either. It’s sort of a stagnant position.
My guess is you really want to lose a specific number of pounds. Most people do. Ask them and they’ll tell you. My spouse is a perfect example. She wants to drop 10 pounds. Maybe she believes that 10 pounds is what’s keeping her from an ideal size and weight. Either way, she needs a serious lose weight diet to accomplish her weight loss goal. And the same goes for you as well.
Losing weight is never fun. The majority of us hate to even have to grapple with our weights. It’s a pesky annoyance that comes with life and aging. Now, if you’re serious about dropping pounds and getting results, remember what must be focused on. Eating right, fish, poultry, vegetables, fruits and water; exercising regularly, 4-5 days a week, mostly cardio to start; and sticking to your program. Soon you will reach that desired weight you’re after.

Help answer the question about weight diet
What is the best diet pill or quick weight lose diet pill? What diet pill or fast weight lose pill works the best. I have tried jenny craig but I have not seen any results lately. I work out at least three to four times a week. Any help would be appreciated.

Food:
Stay away from white grains like pasta, bread, flour, and rice. When eating grains go for whole wheat, it’s a lot healthier and has fewer calories. When eating meat, always go for lean or extra lean if available. Also stay away from junk food – of course! But, don’t demonize it, because if you are the type who loves their chocolate bars and you completely cut yourself off, you’ll only want them more. Cut down you junk intake to once a week, and on the day you have that chocolate bar make a mental note to get an extra 15 minutes of exercise that day.
Make sure you drink lots of water; it helps your metabolism and hydrates your body (obviously). If you don’t drink enough water your body will think its going to be starved, and will go into “survival mode” – this’ll cause your body to retain all the water you do drink and all the fat it can get because its preparing to be starved. Also, drinking green tea every morning increases your daily metabolism by 17%. You can take vitamin b complex to increase your metabolism as well. Try eating 5 small meals a day to keep your metabolism working, and never skip breakfast! Skipping breakfast will slow your metabolism for the day!
When you snack only snack on fruits and veggies – they’re nutritious and delicious! And low in calories. My doctor recommended eating a slice of cheese with a piece of fruit as a snack so your also getting protein with your fruit. Try to stop eating after 7 pm, and only drink tea, milk, or water after that. This’ll prevent you from going to bed with food in your stomach that won’t be burned while you’re sleeping; it’ll just get turned into fat that you don’t want.
Exercise:
For exercise, make sure you get AT LEAST 30 minutes a day, but I’d recommend 60 minutes. Do cardio exercise every day as well as strength exercises like push ups and crunches. Combining the two exercises will help to prevent having saggy skin once you’ve lost weight. Swimming can be a good strength exercise if you like going to the pool or lake – it tones everything at once and its fun! While you’re doing cardio (like jogging or running) make a routine that’ll challenge you but not over work you. Try running for 5 minutes then walking for 5. If that gets too easy try running for 6 walking for 4 etc.
Goals:
Try setting smaller goals for yourself that you can achieve more often. Like every week the average person who is dieting and getting exercise loses 2-3 lbs per week so try setting a weekly or bi weekly goal for yourself. This'll give you encouragement to continue because you keep meeting your smaller goals. Aiming for a huge goal like 40 lbs right from the beginning can become aggravating and frustrating when you don't see results right away.
A healthy weight for you age and height is between 130-150 but there are a lot of contributing factors that play into how much you should weigh like your build and such.
If you have an overall goal of losing say 46 lbs (which would put you at 150) and you lost 2 lbs per week you could lost that weight in 23 weeks which is around 5 months a.k.a January!
Hope this helps!
@operationcwaI789789 How about getting off your ass and excercise?
@JxT1957 Studies have been done on meal frequency and it doesn’t change anything as long as total calories are the same.
Do you want to lose weight?
I went to a homeophatic nutritionist who gave me a balanced diet with lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meat, fish, nuts, etc. and very little carbs. I eat 6 times a day, 3 complete meals and 2 snacks. It takes patience and perseverance. You have to try out many recipies to change routine. It also helped that I went through a desintoxication process of a three day juice and soup fast. I have lost 20 pounds, and have another 20 to go, but feel great and with lots of energy. I paused a while with the diet and have not gained weight, that shows that I changed my habits and my eating lifestyle. Good luck!
It’s one thing to live healthy, and another thing to look good. It’s more complicated than that. Even tho he’s right about SOME of the things, he still doesn’t know what the hell is he talking about. Go ask few questions in a bodybuilding forum about metabolism and muscle recovery – you are going to get ROFL’d, cause it’s something that you have to know as a child knows his name.
i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day
green tea speeds up your metabolism
drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day.
do not snack
do not eat 6 meals a day, try to only eat 3
if you are really hungry and you've had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas )
exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day
get more active
get more sleep it prepares your body
stretch, yes it works and it doesn't just help you lose weight it helps with you're growing to make you a little taller
count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1300 calories per day
change you're lifestyle it makes a difference
do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars
avoid fast food and cut out fried food when you cook your meal oven cook your food do not fry it
chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you're cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away
do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you're food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you're stomach as you eat.
do not eat before you go to sleep
drink a glass of water before you go to sleep
eat spicy food, if you can because it speeds up you're metabolism
do not weigh you're self everyday because it torments you, weight you're self once a week ( every Monday )
good luck!
There are several methods I’m sure. Perhaps some supplements work, most don’t, clinics, trainers, exercise.. blah blah… As someone who has lost weight and kept it off… EAT RIGHT, DRINK WATER CONSTANTLY, GET REST, EXERCISE MORE!!! The inches will fall off, if not, then #1 your eating wrong. Sugars, fats, candy and ice Cream.. FAIL!!!
this is how i lost my 20 pds so far, 10 more to go

Weight loss is an overall process. You need to think about many factors. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.
Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.
Make a few additional small changes – walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.
Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can't get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.
In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.
Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate – in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.
Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.
Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.
Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.
An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

Here are some ideas from my 360 Blog September 10.
There is no site specific way of losing fat… the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.
The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs… almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet… that isn't overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.
There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about "How to get a six-pack?" The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat… abdominal muscles will form in the position that you exercise them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the "core is active" which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.
If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.
Aloha
@lookingtotomorrow buy 1.5 litre-bottles of water. Drink at least one daily. Start any dynamic sport you like ( tennis, soccer, basketball etc) and combine it with working out in a gym. e.g. Also stop eating junk food, but eat any normal food you enjoy, just in smaller portions. Start ENJOYING those changes as your new way of life. Live it in the now or else its pointless.
Take it as your way of life, not just some means to an end.
Try smaller portions of things. If you're going to eat what you want, then don't overdo it. I would still try to recommend eating things out of all the food groups everyday.
i have no money that i can use on lkosing weight but i need to lose weight and i have about 7 weeks and im desperate someone help
The Paleo diet is the ONLY diet. My allergies have all but vanished, my health improved, my energy increased, it even brought my hypoglycemia under control. Oh, and during the first year of eating strictly Paleo, I lost 60 pounds. . . without exercising. No effort, my body shed the pounds and one year later I have kept them off.
Even if yuou had acess to healthy foods they are too expensive. Seriously! I understand the embarrassment of the exercise thing, but if you can't swim but sounds like your willing to get in the water, the best thing you can do is water aerobics. I know it sounds like you need to know what your doing but you don't moving your arms, legs walking in the water, up to your neck ofcourse, it is an awesome way to lose wieght. You will know that you've had a good work out when you step out of the water, and or the next morning. 15 min. is all! Drink water also. Just limit your portions on the food you do it. You know how a dinner plate has the design around the edge? Don't fill your plate to the design take it back an inch. I know it sounds funny, but I am overwieght. I'm not obeise and I've never dieted or felt I had to but, I am pushing 30, swam and did water areobics all my life, have 3 kids and I haven't gained a lb. in 8 yrs. IT WILL WORK!! GOODLUCK!
