How Much Should My Health Insurance Premium Be?

In health insurance, two major factors affect policy premiums or rates. The first major factor is your family health or personal health history. The second factor is age.
While calculating the life insurance premiums and health insurance premiums, the insurance companies, consider family history and personal health of the individual, as the major contributors. Most health insurance companies request urine samples and blood samples to ensure that there are no pre-existing health problems.
The majority of insurance companies provide plans with costlier premiums to individuals with serious or chronic conditions like coronary disease, cancer, diabetes or elevated blood pressure.
People who have perfect health will notice that the standard term policy might have slightly more premiums. This is because such policies cover most all health risks. People who do not have time to lower their risk factors and can afford to pay above average premiums should conceder this policy as an option.
People shopping for insurance can check out quotes online to help them find the policy that’s right for them. People seeking health insurance can use the FAQ’s to determine what factors should be considered.
The variability of family history and health can have an adverse effect on policyholders with low insurance premiums. Therefore, such people may have to pay high premium amount.
In the early part of the decade, typical health insurance premiums skyrocketed with an annual growth of 10.8 %. In the year 2003, the premium growth shockingly remained strong, before it decreased to 8 % in the year 2004. Since 1982, medical insurance premium rates have risen on average 7% per year. It is very typical for health insurance premiums to be in a volatile business cycle.
Health insurance had six during 1992.Employers in private industry employee compensation is 3%. In the month of September 2007, health benefits comprised a large portion of employer provided benefits. Number 7 is included. One percent of the total compensation. This made health insurance the largest compensation share for employers having an excess of 500 employees.
As costs climbed, employees bared the brunt of the premium increases. This has only moved the issue around.
An aging population has a significant impact on the future of health care industry in the United States. In terms of pharmaceutical treatment, in-patient care stays and physician visits, the elderly are the most high-cost demographic groups.
The primary reason for increases in premiums for medical insurance is the increasing age of the population. Since at a minimum, Medicare tries to cover services for 22% of the entire population, the increasing number of older people creates problems for the Program.
To avoid a lapse in coverage, it is imperative to pay premiums in a timely manner. Some insurance firms also provide discounts for such people. It is also very important for policyholders to do a comparison on health insurance plans. And so afterwards, they can choose from amongst the array what they think as the best plan.
Because of the increasing cost of health care in the U.S., medical insurance is now a critical issue. Therefore, typical health insurance premiums, which are easy to pay, can ensure insurance coverage for most Americans.

This video is based on HR3200 but it is very closely related to HR3962 with the exception that HR3962 is deemed to be worse yet. If we don’t get this bill thrown in the trash where it belongs we can expect to see much if not all of what this video shows us. Aug. 2009 Original Bill (Video) :This is a point by point description (A guide not the actual reading of the bill!) of the Government Healthcare plan taken from the ACTUAL proposed bill HR3200candicemiller.house.gov Though not opposed to healthcare reform most Americans do not want this KIND of reform which is a dangerous UN-AMERICAN UNCONSTITUTIONAL We want reform that makes sense and that is helpful for all not a destructive death warrant for the unborn and the elderly. We want government to stay out of our personal life decisions period. This is America !!
Help answer the question about life and health insurance
Are there any life / health insurance agents on here?I'm looking for a forum with marketing ideas and such, but haven't had any luck finding a good one.

Since you are healthy you could look into getting a short term medical policy. These policies don't have all the bells and whistles of a permanent policy but will cover you for catastrophic illness and accidents. The premium is much less than a permanent policy. Visit a local agent that works with all the major companies in your area for help finding a plan and for an explanation of the benefits and exclusions of a short term plan.
Anywhere from 0% to 100%. Or anywhere in between.
It's really going to depend on what you can afford.
It's pretty reasonable to say, ok, I can pay $150 a month towards your health insurance.

I had this happen once and I did some investigating and found this particular medical office was so poorly managed they were several years behind in filing claims. When they found mine, I no longer had that same insurance ( which would have paid 100%) . They tried to collect from me, but I told the office manager that I was not responsible for them not being capable of doing their job and would not pay. Never heard from them again.
Contact your local Social Services. You may not qualify but they might have information regarding programs available. Also, check and see if there are any free clinics in your area. You may have to find them in larger cities but if you have a computer you should be able to locate them. Your infant might be eligible for the S-CHIP program. As for your medical problems, sometimes there are programs available for women in your financial difficulties. If there are any teaching hospitals close by they frequently have programs available for low income people. I was able to get a mammogram through a women's program when I had no health insurance. Ask around. Sometimes local churches have help available. Catholic charities is one. You don't have to be Catholic to get help. Also, call your local state representative or senator. Their offices might have access to programs to help and let them know that you support health care reform.
Good luck. You're one of the prime examples as to why we need a national health care program.
yes
Yes! The government has proven that it can't run ANYTHING efficiently such as Medicare, the USPS and Amtrak. Most politicians are former lawyers. High malpractice insurance drives up costs because of frivolous lawsuits. Lawyers are the main problem with government, insurance companies, and health care. Wherever a lawyer is involved there is corruption.
