Help answer the question about health plan

Can Obama actually carry out his plan to have a universal health care for all Americans?
During the election, Obama said that he plans to give an affordable, accessible health care for all Americans by lowering health care costs. Right now, I am having doubts due to the economic challenges that the U.S. faces. With today's terrible economic problems, will this plan actually be able to work? If it does work, how so? What is your opinion on the universal health plan?

You can get BC/BS for about 112.00 per month at your age. Also you might check with your school, often you can get some type of student insurance for about 200.00 per year. Always remember this..if you don't have insurance be sure to let your doctors office know that. Speak with the office manager and 90% of the time, they will give you a big discount since you would be a cash paying patient. They are not allowed to charge you less than they charge Medicare patients but most of them will give you a discount if you negotiate it prior to your appointment.

I’ll sound as anti and self as they in that perspective as well then! Go Obama and fuck who’s against this reform!!

These facts have been known since the beginning! I mean…all people had to do was listen to what Obama was saying and theyd know the real deal. But no, they just listen to what they hear on the fricken propaganda news networks, and all their little soundbites, and people just dont get a full scope! Whats the problem, hes not banishing private insurance, he said the majority of the cost can be paid by fixing the waste within the system…its not socialism or anything but an option for poor ppl.

You'll want to visit a local independent agent to see what plans are available in your area. Because of state laws plans may be different in different states even within the same company.

Many plans do not cover or have limited coverage for mental health so you want to make sure you get on a plan that has what you want. The agent will be able to compare the many different plans to find the best for your situation and budget. They don't charge you any extra for the service.

Do not try to do this over the internet. It'll take you several days to intelligently compare all the plans available. Also, if you have any pre-existing conditions that might add a rider to the policy or cause you to be declined or if you are out of the height and weight guidelines you won't know until you've applied and gone through the underwriting process. The agent should be able to find a plan in an hour or two.

You may get answers here concerning medical discount cards. Be very wary of these cards. They are not regulated by the Department of Insurance nor do the people that sell them need to be licensed. This means you have little recourse when you have problems with the plan. If you are tempted by the low price and claims of “save up to 80%” be aware that very few doctors actually take these cards. It does you little good if you have to drive 4 hours to find a doctor that will accept the card. Montana couldn’t find any doctors in the whole state that actually took the card and only one dentist who was on probation for unlawful activities so they banned the sale of the card and fined the company. See this link http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/west/2006/11/22/74554.htm for more information. Many other states are starting to ban these cards as well.

Before signing up with any discount plan get a list of doctors. If they won’t give you a list consider it to be a scam. Call the doctors on the list to make sure they’re still taking the card (many don’t even know that they’re listed as a provider) and that they’re accepting new patients.

It's all about the same. A family policy is just going to cost around $1,000 a month, less with massive deductibles.

You need to find a local agent, and let them shop it out – but keep in mind, with health insurance you really DO get what you pay for.

If you apply for health insurance internationally, you're going to be scammed. Canadians pay 60% income tax rates for their "national" health insurance programs – and they have rotten service and really long lines.

Don't hold your breath waiting for national health insurance – it's just one of those things Democrats talk about, with no intention of ever putting into place. It doesn't work.

My respect for Obama just went up a few notches. America is seriously behind with health care coverage. It is about time we joined every single developed nation in providing health coverage and assistance to every single human being on our soil. It is one of the most basic human rights.

  15. Vanessa says:

About $`12,000 per year under the Obama so called health care plan.

That is the amount that will be deducted from your paycheck. About $1,000 per month in addition to your current deductions from your paycheck.

Your takehome pay will go down dramatically under the Obama so called health care plan.

The deductions will begin immediately however you will not begin to receive benefits until 2014.

see this http://finance.ebookorama.com/ukusa-selected-resources.phpit's one form to get a number of quotes from different insurers. You can even bundle it with car insurance, good luck

  17. mary c says:

If he works full time, he can check to see if he is eligible for insurance through the company he works for. This will be much cheaper than trying to buy it on his own, because a company gets a group rate. However, you would need to see if dental is covered under that plan.

Another option is Care Credit http://www.carecredit.com/ and set up a payment plan.
