WEIGHT LoSS?
I'm in my late teens and I'm trying to loose weight. I'm 5'7'' and was at 211 lbs before I started my changing my diet. I've been doing that since January 6th..I am currently at 192lbs..oh yes! I've still got a lot to do but I could use some encouragement. How's my weight loss progressing?

    I have a couple of water bottles next to the couch.. each time I sit on the couch I pick them up and lift them up and down.
    It is boring and it seems useless to do but if you get used to do it,., after just 20 minutes you will start sweating and your arm will get tired.
    Just change arm and carry on, eventually it will become automatic and you might even want to progress to some dumbells, maybe a little bit heavier than the water bottle.

    Eat three meals per day, at the same time each day. Eat breakfast for sure. If you spread your meals out evenly between the day, you will be less hungry for the next meal and won't overeat.

    Drink lots of water- helps break down the food

    Start meals with a salad

    Not eating after 6pm is actually not a great idea. Eating keeps your metabolism running. Just don't eat within 2-3 hours of going to bed. Eat small meals about every 3 hours. I'll eat grapes between breakfast and lunch. Then I eat a snack bar between lunch and dinner and maybe some popcorn or something a while after dinner.
    Cut back or cut out anything that has a lot of sugar. Natural sugars are fine from fruits and stuff but sugar from candy and such has no purpose at all in your body. It doesn't do anything but become stored fat.

    I am in the same boat! Dieting is soooo hard! The only way to be truly successful is strict discipline. Keep your portion sizes small, fill up on veggies and fruit, and limit the junk food. Going to the gym at least three times a week is very helpful. I heard the Special K diet worked so you might want to give that a try!

    one thing i noticed, you said 1 cup of pasta: that's 2 servings. 1/2 cup is one serving.
    eat more at lunch, eat slower so your body can respond and tell you when you're full.
    the cardio is very good for fat loss, add some pilates and yoga to lengthen and tone your muslces as well.

    i don't recommend dieting as it proven that you will put more wieght back on after a while, but what i do reccommend is a book written by paul mckenna. It teaches you great techniques of controlling your eating and works.
