You’re ready to start your weight loss. You’re tired of your clothes not fitting. You’re tired of getting winded when you go up a short of stairs. There are so many “lose weight diet plans,” supplements, exercise programs, and other diet aids that it can be very confusing on what will work and what is a scam. Here are seven tips to lose weight without exercise that will help jumpstart your weight loss and keeps it moving forward.

1. Diets Don’t Work: Recent studies by UCLA show that dieting is not an effective means of losing weight. Between one third and two thirds of all people that diet regain more weight than what they lost. This yo-yo dieting can be very unhealthy, as it has been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, or immune system dysfunction.

2. Fad Diets Don’t Work: Counting calories, fat grams, and carbohydrates is not an effective way to lose weight either. You need a balanced nutritional program, no one that targets only one food group or part of a food group.  

3. You Won’t Lose Weight with Just a Pill: It seems like everyone today has a pill that is touted as the latest weight loss miracle drug. Simply take a pill a couple times a day and the weight will fall off. This is not the way to lose weight and it won’t work.

4. Do Not Expect Immediate Results: You can’t lose twenty pounds in a week’s time. The healthiest way to lose weight is to lose one to three pounds a week.

5. Hypnosis Works: Of all the weight loss programs out there today, hypnosis has one of the highest success rates. It’s not the Las Vegas hypnosis show style, either. One of the most successful forms of weight loss hypnosis is usually accomplished through a DVD or CD program. You can use these programs at your leisure, which makes them even more effective.

6. Don’t eat after Six: You don’t want to eat at least three hours before you go to sleep. All that food is not converted to energy will be stored as fat.  

7. Eat Several Small Meals a Day: The key to weight loss is not food deprivation. It’s eating several small meals a day in order to keep your metabolism high, which means you burn more fat stores in your body.

These are not the only tips that will help you lose weight. However, you have to realize that it’s taken a lifetime for your mind to program you to gain weight. The only way to lose weight and successfully keep it off is to retrain your mind and body.  

You need to understand why you are living the way you are and why you keep eating. You may find that there are several things that can trigger your weight gain. Help answer the question about weight diet

Is it possible to lose weight by diet only with no additional excercise?
By "additional", I mean going to the gym. I walk to classes every day of the school week, play golf once in a while, do things around the house, and have an entirely stand-up-and-move-around job that I work 2-3 days a week. So I am just curious as to whether one can lose weight solely with this lifestyle and a healthy diet.

    As for the pressure to be slim and trim, it is an industry ! a Multi Billion industry. You need consumers for all the products that abound. What drives consumption? Yes you got it. Fear.
    Fear of being fat. So you have to keep on pushing that fat fear into people, that is if you were a fat reducing provider.

    Seriously though, you are not even obese… I think you should go into counseling if you are taking cocaine because of an obsession with weight loss.
    Btw, where the heck did you get cocaine at age 17? you know you keep doing that, you'd end up a crack whore on the streets prostituting yourself for money right…

    I guess if you really are concerned, do cardio exercises. Walking does not count. Try running, swimming, or biking.
    Crunches and abs exercises are nice, but they are more to tone/ strengthen ab muscles then cutting fat.

    Not to be cliche, but not eating food is not the way to go, because eventually you will give into food, but your body will be in starvation mode, and actually absorb more nutrients/ carbs from your food to outweigh whatever weight you lost from starving yourself.

    For real fast results, try liposuction too.

    eat more fruits and veggies and lean protein. if you ahte to work out that sucks for you because you will not be toned unless you do some form of exercise. if you like a certain sport do that or if you like to swim do that. you really need to be carefull on what your doing to your body. make sure you dont slip back into old habits

    first off this eating around your family, i hope you would be able to talk to them and let them know your unhappy with your looks and ask for their support. that being said, here ya go

    forget everything you've ever read, im gana give you some information here that most people never learn in a lifetime, understand i am not just listing food here, this is a finely tuned diet plan and it will rip the fat off, but you gatta exercise with it to get some super fast results, you can pretty much bank on losing about 20lbs in the first 4-5 weeks if you follow this to a TEE! if your interested email me there are a few other important factors i am leaving out (and no i am not gana sell them to you, just more lengthy and most people arent' ready to commit to a proper diet)

    you want to get serious about losing weight? boom here it is, but mentally prepare yourself the first week is hard but it gets easier i promise

    8am – 6 egg whites, 2 yokes and 1 fruit

    10:30am – 1.5 scoops of protein in 16 oz of water and 1 fat

    1pm – 4-6 oz. of red meat 2 cups of green vegetable)

    3:30pm – 1.5 scoops of protein in 16 oz of water and 1 fat

    6pm – 4-6oz. of red meat OR turkey breast, chicken, or fish and 2 cups of green vegetable

    8:30pm – Some kind of lean protein again (Chicken, turkey breast, tuna, egg whites, or another protein shake. No red meat.) Also another serving of good fats. If you want to add a 7th meal in 2.5 hours you can have another protein shake.

    and when i say fat, i mean add a good fat, like "flax oil", almonds, almond butter, or fish oil. does not mean ice cream, i PROMISE you that this works, ive spent years of trial and error if you want more detail just ask, please notice that i am not trying to sell you anything or defering you to some bullshit website to buy pills or products like half of the answers out there, spammers.

    do cardio on MWF in the morning on an empty stomach (a secret of the pros, take 200-400mg of caffeine tablets 30min before workout you will have an insane cardio session, i use "vivran" but may not be availble to you where you are), for 50-60mintues, your choice just keep the heart rate up. you will freak the hell out at how much you tighten up in 4 weeks. you don't need to do any more cardio than this, it will work great.

    eat 4-6 meals a day, smaller meals

    eat 2 bananas a day to push out the excess water and get a firmer skin look+feel

    eat more vege's
    drink water

    avoid: processed foods/fats (from non natural products)/ sugars (ie: brown/white sugar…sugars should be obtained from fruits)

    eat and orange/kiwi or two a day to help with fat control.

    drink a glass of 2% reduced fat or fat free milk before bed
